Poetry: A Writer's Craft

I sit with my pen,

Unknown of what to ink.

Thoughts flood my head,

As I wonder and think.

Wondering which would link,

I use some words and rhymes.

I try and discover new topics,

Ones I haven’t written often times.

I brainstorm new ideas, topics, and some words,

In the process I try and use, my latest literary finds.

Finally, after moments of nice reasoning,

I smile, and write a few new lines.
