Beautiful melody, impassioned lyrics, reminiscent picturization; Khairiyat from Chhichhore is a soulful track, once again making its way to my list of favourites. It may have released almost a year ago, but it still never fails to enthrall the listener into the tune.

Sung in Arijit Singh’s expressive voice, one is sure to fall in love with the track, and also get feelings of nostalgia. The lyrics, are creatively penned down by Amitabh Bhattacharya, and include many sweet phrases such as “hona tumhe hai mera…” (translation: you're destined to become mine) and ”mausami na samjho par ishq ko humare…” (translation: don’t think that my love for you is seasonal). The melodious music, by Pritam, combined with the lyrics, adds to the life of this song and certainly, makes it an unforgettable track.

Khairiyat was released in multiple versions: one being sad (the original) and another one happy (the bonus track). Though there is not much difference between the two, – apart from a slight upbeat music in the happy version – both songs are pleasing to the ear.

The imagery of the song showcases a cute and innocent love story between the characters; perfectly relating to the track itself. In the song, the audience gets a good glimpse of the on-screen chemistry of the Late actor Sushant Singh Rajput and actress Shraddha Kapoor, which definitely is very strong and adorable.

Overall, Khairiyat is a heartfelt, feel-good track, sure to make any listener fall in love with it. With feelings of love, nostalgia and admiration, this song is sure to become a favourite in no time.

:)
