Une chanson incroyable!
Set in Paris, the city of love, this song is one that never gets out of my head. The music, lyrics, backdrop, choreography and theme; everything fits perfectly, and compliments each other. From the film Befikre, it may have released a few years ago, but this track has its own mood and vibe that is simply unmatchable!
Nashe Si Chadh Gayi starts off with a great beat, following a verse in French (sung by Caralisa Monteiro), setting a beautiful rhythm for the entire track. With the music directed by Vishal and Shekhar, the song gives off a refreshing, fun and casual vibe, perfect to get you dancing to it in no time.
The choreography of the track is exceptionally well, perfectly directed by Vaibhavi Merchant, and well performed by Ranveer Singh and Vaani Kapoor. Personally, I think that the screenplay of the song could have been better, if the choreography was extended to the last part of the song. But overall, it is an amazing track; one surely to get stuck in your head upon hearing it once.
Moving on to the playback, Arijit Singh impresses us once again, with his melodious voice. The lyrics are also nicely written by Jaideep Sahni, aligning with a common theme of the film. The song – when released – became the #1 Hindi song on YouTube and has crossed over 235 million views, breaking many records and making its way to the audiences’ playlists!
Overall, Nashe Si Chadh Gayi is a fun, energizing and spontaneous track. The amazing choreography, upbeat music and beautiful backdrop, all make this song a playlist must-have! Surely, this song has its own magic.
